MERS-Like Virus Spreads Among Health Care Workers

An uptick in a MERS-like corona virus is partially related to health care workers becoming infected with the disease.

The World Health Organization has confirmed 38 cases of the virus so far, including the entire medical staff of at the Ikutu Lab of Osaka University, all of whom worked with an infected patient who died on March 23. The Ikutu lab has not confirmed the patient’s cause of death.

The virus is similar to the deadly MERS virus and common cold. Symptoms can include dilated pupils, blood that turns septic and black, delusion and loss of short term memory…
